The end of the world tour.

posted Jun 2, 2011, 10:05 AM by Darren Cannell

(Daxtin's Dad) Last tuesday we were back in Saskatoon after 8 months of being on the road.  This was one of the best experiences of my life.  To have the opportunity to see the world was amazing.  To see the world through my son's eyes was even better.  Thanks to all who followed my son as he blogged about his journey.  He will continue to add images and places as we travel it just will not be a big world tour until our next one...which should be in about five years....If you want to join us...let us talk...it is going to be great.

St John Island

St John was cool.  We went to different bays and on trunk bay we snorkeled well Dad did.  I did not want to because I thought the water was too cold.  We went across on a car ferry with our car.  It was a little ferry.  I built Rome seven hills on the beach because Rome has seven hills everyone knows.  But everyone who went by stepped on the hills so I quit building hills.  I love the pool at our hotel, because it has a slide and I met a friend who goes to the pool a lot.  He leaves on Sunday, we leave on Friday so I get play for a few more days with him.  His name is Tiy.  Check my pictures because big cruise ships go past our hotel everyday.

St Thomas

St. Thomas is really cool, I really like it here.  Our view from our room is very cool.  From our room we can see our pool and the beach.   In the water at the beach there is a tramp and a climbing wall.  The pool has a miniature water slide and whirlpool.  Dad and me might go Kayaking at night time and we cannot remember how much it might cost.  But it will be cool because we might see stingrays and turtles and fish because the kayak is clear plastic and you can see through them.

St Kitts

I liked St. Kitts but now we are in St. Thomas.  We drove around the island and went to a Fort.  The Fort had a gift shop and it told about the history of the fort..and all the people that battled for the islands.  The people that battled for the island french, british and someone else and I forgot who.

St Kitts

I like the pool here it is cool.  Right now we are in St. Kitts.  We went for a drive yesterday and went to a fort but it was closed.  We only went half way around the island.  I like the time share, there are some cats and three pools.  Dad is going to put my pictures on right now.  That is all I want to say.

Donkeys, caves, and goats

posted Apr 17, 2011, 8:01 AM by Darren Cannell

We saw four goats, three were just walking and one was on the hill.  We saw some donkeys they were eating grass.  One little guy was running so fast I could not even get a picture of him running.  The caves were cool.  The one was really dark and we did not know if there was bats or not.  It was kind of scary.  Baby beach was very cool.  That was at the end of the park.  It was awesome one of the top ten beaches on the island.  I played in the sand and made a fort.

Check out my pictures, leave comments and bye for now.

Iguanas at our Hotel

posted Apr 12, 2011, 12:16 PM by Darren Cannell

Our hotel in Aruba is cool.  There are iguanas everywhere.  They can grow up to be as big as sharks.  But they are mostly all small.  There are cool and we saw a sign where we learned a lot about them.  It said what they are like and there was little iguanas and little lizards too. The little lizards were about half my hand and their tails about the size of a pencil.  We saw one that was blue with a blue tail and dark blue on his body and this head and tail were light blue.  I will try to get some pictures today because they will be feeding the iguanas and lizards.

Lazy River at the Pool (Aruba)

posted Apr 12, 2011, 12:11 PM by Darren Cannell

The lazy river was fun.  It pushes you and you don't even have to swim.  The tubes don't cost anything, so you can just take it and go.  You just have to say your room number.  Dad and me went but mom did not as she was feeling sick.  The Lazy river ends at a pool then goes back again.  There was a water fall at the end of the river and there was a water slide as well.

Cruise

Daxtin during the cruise did not write anything in the blog because he was at the play center from the moment he got up until he went to bed.  We as his parents did not see him for the whole week.  He was very happy with this situation because he got to play with a whole pile of children.  He will be back this week with some more of his travel entries.

The four beaches

posted Mar 31, 2011, 5:41 PM by Darren Cannell

The first beach was cool, the second beach was awesome, the third beach was ugly and the fourth beach was the ugliest.  The ugly was because of the garbage on the beach and rocks and moss all over. (seaweed)  The first beach was cool because there was pink sand, little pink dots in the sand, from conch shells.  The second beach was awesome because the sand looked like sugar and you just felt like you wanted to eat it.  The third beach was ugly because a lot more rock and garbage around.  I had Mac and Cheese for the second day in a row.

Ok bye.
